Miami Florida
Miami was in fact over a century ago a trading post now it extends to some 2,000 sq miles and has a population of close to 2 million. Today famed for its wonderful beaches and the fantastic Art Deco design of the buildings on Ocean Drive and also as the ocean terminal for some of the world largest luxury cruise ships.
South Beach is an area fuelled by a hedonistic society, beach babes beautiful people, body builders, tattoo artists as well as models and arty and trendy individuals abound. As do wind surfers, kite surfers and sun worshipers on the beaches making the beach area a lively and interesting place to spend some time just people watching. I particularly liked the Lifeguard hut designs along the beachfront area.
Downtown Miami has the waterfront area with fantastic seafood restaurants and a selection of excellent trendy shops together with the marina where some of the most exotic sailing ships & pleasure craft are moored.
