SEALS
Like good friends they are intelligent always curious, amusing and well travelled. I have studied them and photographed them over many years and they never fail to lift my spirit and make me feel very much at one with nature.
Having lived and worked on the Isle of Skye for some twenty years I was able to observe and photograph these amazing creatures on a fairly regular basis because one of the EU marine designated conservation and protected areas was situated within Loch Dunvegan on the island.
Consequently I have spent a considerable amount of my time photographing seals from my boat whilst slowly moving amongst the small islands and haul out rocks used by the seals for resting within the sea lochs around Skye. I have managed to build up a fairly comprehensive collection of images, which I am very pleased with as they portray seals in most facets of their daily life. I am particularly proud of some of the mother and recently born pup images.
