The Caribbean
I have now travelled the Caribbean extensively and have visited the following islands – Cayman / Jamaica / Antigua / Dominica / Barbados / St Maarten / St Kitts / St Thomas / Puerto Rico / Cozumel (Mexican Caribbean Island)
I love this part of the world and have had some wonderful experiences in the Caribbean on one occasion whilst sailing a catamaran off Antigua the volcano on Montserrat erupted sending a plume of ash thousands of feet into the sky.
The rich diversity of these tropical islands and the vibrant colours and wonderful light has continued to draw me back. I have had so many special moments from swimming with stingrays in Cayman to ridding horseback round an old plantation with my son in Jamaica and then sitting on the plantation house veranda watching humming birds feed.
I have experienced the thrills of deep-sea game fishing off Barbados and taken many photographs on some of the most spectacular tropical beaches in the Caribbean.
I have met and laughed with some of the most hospitable and friendly people in the Caribbean they have always been kind and generous and have willingly posed for me when politely asked.
I will I’m sure return to the Caribbean in the future as I still have other islands and places on my ‘must see list’.
